1. School Bell rings at 9.20a.m. Lunch is from 12.30p.m.
until 1.00p.m. Infants finish school at 2.00p.m. All other classes finish
at 3.00p.m.
2.Children may not leave the school grounds at any
time without permission. Children who wish to leave school before 3.00p.m.
must furnish to their class teacher a note from a parent/guardian.
3. Those who go home for lunch must have the necessary
official form signed by guardian/parent.
4. On returning after a period of absence a child
must produce a note stating the reason for that absence. (An oral communication
from parent/guardian to teacher will suffice instead of a note).
5. Children should wear the complete school uniform
every day, house shoes are worn in class from Senior Infants to Sixth
Class inclusive.
6. Children should show respect
for their school, their belongings and be aware of their personal
cleanliness.
7. Orderly lines are required
entering and leaving class and pupils should always walk while in the
school building.
8. Children may enter or leave
the grounds only by the school gates. Climbing, walking or sitting on
school walls, trees, fences, building or basketball stands is not allowed.
Cycling, skateboarding or rollerblading on school grounds is forbidden
at any time.
9. Buildings and grounds are
to be kept tidy and free of litter.
10. Pupils should be respectful
and honest to teachers and fellow pupils by being mannerly and polite,
by taking turns and by being well behaved in class lines.
11. Children should always
bring a nutritious lunch to school. Chewing gum and/or fizzy drinks
are not permitted.
12. Children are not allowed
have mobile phones at school.
13. Each teacher will negotiate
a set of class rules with his/her class.
