Failte Ar Ais

We are delighted to welcome our pupils back at school, refreshed and rested after the holidays. Let's hope that for each and every one of us the coming year will be happy, stimulating and fruitful. A very special welcome to our new pupils and new parents/guardians:- Junior Infants: - Andrew Mulligan, Molly McNamara, Danielle Collins, Lauren Monnickendam, Aoife Burke, Breffni Horner, Josh Mortimer & Mark Hassett Senior Infants:- Martin McMahon, & Conor Cleary Second Class:- Lesley-Anne McMahon. Fourth Class:- Eilish Cleary.
We take this opportunity to welcome our new class teacher, Mr. Joe O'Leary, who replaces Mrs. Galvin for this year. Mrs. Galvin is on career-break and we wish her well on her year off. Joe is a graduate of Mary Immaculate College in Limerick and a native of Ardrahan. He plays hurling with Ardrahan and Galway.

 

School Insurance

The above is now available through the school as in previous years. The annual premium is €5.00 per pupil (school related activities only) or €8.00 for 24 hour cover. This personal insurance is optional. The Board of Management holds insurance to cover its legal liability for accidental bodily injury but claims are met only where negligence can be proved on the part of the school.. For any further information please contact the principal. Please return money by Fri.. Sept 24th.

 

Swimming

Swimming classes at the Ennis Pool Complex for 1st to 6th classes will run from Wed. 29th September to the 15th of December (except Oct.27th - mid-term break and Dec. 8th. - church holiday) making 10 classes in all. The cost per child is €30.00 (to be paid any time in the next few weeks.) Children will be taken to the pool by bus at 10.40 a.m. and return to the school at 12.15 p.m. Each child must have a swim suit, towel and swim cap.

 

Full Tilt

We were delighted to welcome Full Tilt to this school last Monday afternoon. The four piece band entertained us all with a selection of rock, pop and ballads. We hope it inspired our pupils to practise their instruments this year in preparation for glory in future years. Many thanks to Miss O'Keeffe who organised the session.

BAINNE

Forms for school milk are now available. Milk for this term costs €10.50 and delivery will start on Monday Sept. 13th
