We are delighted to welcome our pupils back
at school, refreshed and rested after some great August sunshine. Let's
hope that for each and every one of us the coming year will be happy,
stimulating and fruitful. A very special welcome to our new pupils and

Pupils' Insurance
The above is now available through the school
as in previous years. The premium is €5.00 per pupil (school related
activities only) or €8.00 for 24 hour cover. Please find form attached
to this newsletter. Where a number of children in a family require cover
all names may be put on one form. This personal insurance is optional.
The board of management holds insurance to cover its legal liability
for accidental bodily injury but claims are met only where negligence
can be proved on the part of the school. For any further information
please contact the principal. Please return form and money by Fri. Sept.
20.
Bainne
Forms for school milk are now available.
Milk for this term costs €9.90 and delivery will start on Monday
Sept. 15th.
French classes
French classes, for 5th and
6th class pupils, will resume on Tuesday next.
Outstanding
Attendance
The awards for outstanding attendance during
the past year were presented during the week. The supreme award went
to Cillein Mullins. Awards for just one day absent went to Briain Dillon,
Rory Halpin, David Kearney, Mark Perrill, Claire O'Grady & Fiona
O'Rourke. 2 absences: - Aislinn Dillon, Ruth Kearney, Sarah O'Connor,
John Roseingrave, Micheal Roseingrave. Well done to all concerned and
indeed to the vast majority of pupils for their excellent attendance
records.
