Christmas
Pageant
On Wednesday December
21st at 7.30 p.m. our pupils will assemble in Crusheen Church for our
Christmas Carol Service that will include music, song and a retelling
of the Christmas Story. The entire programme should run for approximately
one hour. We would be delighted to see the church full for this special
service.
Samaritan's Purse
Pupils and their parents are to
be congratulated on their very generous response to the Operation Christmas
Child Appeal for shoebox gifts recently. The gifts will help relieve
the suffering of children abroad who are homeless, live in orphanages
or are without family support. In all 58 boxes were collected in the
school. Well done to all.
Christmas
Cards
We have a tremendous response so
far to our Christmas Card Fundraiser. However, there are still many
more cards to sell. Packs of 12 cost €10 and can be purchased direct
from the school or from Bernie O'Brien, Clora Mulligan and Marian Molony
or any member of the Parents' Council. Please return any outstanding
monies at your earliest convenience.
Halloween
Concert
On Friday 28th October, junior
& senior infant children performed their Halloween songs and poems
for their parents. The children dressed up for the occasion and did
themselves proud.
Healthy Eating
Many thanks for your interest and
comments on the draft guidelines for Healthy Eating.
Healthy Eating Week will be held in the school from Monday 28th November
to Friday 2nd December.
We would like to acknowledge the support of the Mid Western Health Board
who have agreed to fund a Puppet Show on Healthy Eating in the Community
Hall for all pupils from junior infants to third class.
Vaccinations
The District Nurse will be at the
school on Monday 28th November to administer the MMR to pupils in junior
infants and sixth class.

Numbers
Please let us know if you change
your phone numbers. A form for this purpose is being sent out with this
Newsletter. Sometimes we need to make urgent contact with parents/guardians.
Broadband
We hope to have Broadband Internet
Access in the school shortly. Attached to this newsletter you will find
an Internet Acceptable Use Policy. Please sign and return the permission
form by Friday December 9th.
