OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD 2004

Once again we were
involved in Samaritan's Purse this year. In all a total of 42 boxes
were delivered to Operation Christmas Child Headquarters in Ennis. These
presents will be given to children suffering through war, poverty, natural
disasters and diseases in Eastern Europe and beyond. We would like to
thank Teresa Riviere for transporting the boxes to town and thank you
all for your continuing support.
ARTWORK TO BELARUS
Fergus Slattery, father of Chloe
& Taylor has been involved in helping the people of Belarus. Pupils
from junior & senior infants, first & second class kindly donated
a selection of their colourful artwork to decorate a playroom, which
he is involved in constructing in Belarus. We are delighted to assist
Fergus in his worthy endeavour.

The Junior & Senior Infant

the school, they dressed up as witches, vampires, ghosts and ghouls
and sang Halloween songs and recited poems. We were very impressed with

O'Keeffe and her pupils for their work.

Mrs. Quinn's Charity
Collection
We all know that recycling is a
good thing. It prevents rubbish being burned, which pollutes the air.
Recycling also means that less waste goes into big dumps, called landfill.
On Tuesday 23rd November, we ask you to bring in unwanted clothing,
household linen, boots or shoes to school. Mrs.Quinn's van will be coming
during the day to collect them. Anything good that you bring will be
sold in the Charity Shops for the blind. The rest is recycled and goes
to Africa, so nothing is wasted.
SO BRING WHAT YOU CAN AND FILL THE VAN
