BISHOP'S VISIT
Bishop Willie Walshe
was a mosot welcome visitor to the school on Wednesday April 28th. He
was delighted with the School Choir's performance of First Communion
and Consfirmation Hymns. Bishop Walshe visited all the classes and chatted
with the children before posing for photographs.


First Holy Communion
This Saturday the pupils in 2nd class will make their Frist Holy Communion
in Crusheen Church at 11 a.m.
We wish Daved, Christopher, Luke, Colin Vaughan, Dayle, Lorcan, Ultan,
Mark, Colin Halpin, Claire, Aine and Emer all the best on Saturday.
Meanwhile the Confirmation class pupils have been busily preparing for
their big day on May 30th they have been involved in preparation reituals
in both Crusheen and Ballinruan chruches at weekend Masses.

GREEEN SCHOOLS
Miss Cleary and members of the Green School Committee, Jason Greene,
Aoife Waters and Brian Rodgers went to Dublin recently where they were
presented with our new Green Flag. The flag was presented by Crusheen
native, Mrs. Veronica Rowe of An Taisce and the pupils are seen here
getting the "thumbs up" from Duncan Stewart of RTE fame.

Skipping for Charity
During Lent 3rd and 4th Class ran a skipathon to raise money for Trocaire.
They collected €185 in total. Many thanks to the parents/guardians
and sponsors who supported this worthy cause so generously
