FIRST PENANCE
On Monday last a 7.30p.m. in Crusheen
Church the following pupils received the Sacrament of First Penance

Tráth na gCeist
Well done to the 5th and 6th class
pupils who participated in Feile na hInse, Tráth na gCeist on
Friday last in the Auburn Lodge Hotel in Ennis. 33 teams took part.,
and the winners on the day were Moveen N.S. who scored 55 points while
our final score was 48 points. Our teams were made up of Aoife O'Brien,
Conor Hayes, Briain Dillon, Paraic O'Malley, Bryan McInerney, Sinéad
O'Doherty, Fiona O'Rourke and Ruth Kearney. An enjoyable afternoon was
had by all.

HURLING
Last Thursday a group of boys in
fifth and sixth class competed in the mini-sevens hurling competition
held in Clarecastle. In the first game Crusheen caused a shock by defeating
Ennis N.S. comprehensively. Hopes were high for victory against Ballyea
in the second game but Ballyea were far superior on the day. They went
on to win the section. All the players gave a good account of themselves
with Rory Halpin, Conor O'Loughlin and Jamie Fitzgibbon being most prominent.

MARIAN
KEANE MEMORIAL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
Our section of the Marian Keane
Memorial Basketball Tournament was played in Toonagh on Thursday April
3rd. It proved to be a most enjoyable afternoon of basket ball for our
girls. They had the better of Ruan by 16-0 in the first game before
losing 4-2 to Toonagh in the second game. In the final game they held
Inch to a draw after a most exciting game. Inch qualified for the next
round

On Tuesday last our Girls Basketball team played Clooney N.S. in a friendly
challenge game. This was an opportunity for both teams to practice their
game and was very enjoyable for all involved Louise Fitzimmons refereed
the match. Everyone played well and gave of their best on the day. "Girl
of the match" goes to Trudy Perry who played very well and really
motivated the team. The end result was a draw 12 -12. Well done to all
concerned!

Confirmation
The confirmation class had their
second preparation ritual, "Affirmation of our Babtism" at
mass on Sunday last. Well done to all concerned.

took part in the East Clare Primary Schools Cross Country Championship
in Tulla..

All finished in the first twenty. A great effort by all 36 runners.
