Jo!
This Friday we are
celebrating a Farewell Mass in the school for Josephine Kearney. Josephine
joined us in 1986 and over the last eighteen years has served the school
with great loyalty and dedication. During her time in Crusheen N.S.
she has worked in a variety of classes from infants through to fourth
class. Josephine prepared pupils for the sacraments of Communion and
Reconciliation and for many years coached the school camogie team. She
has an abiding interest in the creative Arts and particularly enjoyed
preparing classes for the Christmas Concert.
Two years ago Josephine took up the post of Resource Teacher and has
done a wonderful job developing the service in the school while gaining
expertise in a host of new areas. As deputy principal in recent years
she has made a significant contribution to earning for our school the
fine reputation that it has. She deserves our gratitude and appreciation
for her loyal service.
Jo will be sorely missed by the pupils and staff alike for her kindness,
diligence and great sense of fun. We wish her every happiness and success
in her new position in the C.B.S. in Ennis.

Food Survey
The National Children's
Food Survey Team would like to thank you for your excellent participation
in the National Children's Food Survey. The interest and enthusiasm
shown by students and parents was fantastic. By taking part in the survey
you have helped children all over Ireland have a healthier future and
your involvement is much appreciated. They expect to finish the survey
by September 2004 and will send on a copy of the results as soon as
the survey is completed.
