FINAL ARRANGEMENTS
No doubt you are aware that our boys and girls have both qualified for
their respective hurling and football finals. This is a great honour
for the school and we compliment all concerned on their achievements
to date. Our wish for both teams is that they will enjoy this great
occasion. The arrangements are as follows:-

and we fully appreciate your generosity in this regard.
Sponsorship: Our sincere gratitude to our sponsors for their assistance
in making these finals very special occasions. Pat O'Donnell has sponsored
new togs and socks for all boys and girls from 3rd to 6th class. Crusheen
GAA club is picking up the tab for Supermacs on both days. Clarke's
and O'Malley's Nearbuy have given programme sponsorship for the girls'
final.
NEW BEDS!
Last year pupils in the school collected 200 euro from recycling aluminium
cans. The money was used to buy flowering shrubs for the school environs.
Tom Fitzgibbon came to the school last week and planted the beds.
BOOKS
We sincerely than those parents/guardians who have donated books to
our School Library. Also, many of our own library books have made their
way back to us. There may be more out there. We shall be very happy
to see them.
SCHOOL TOURS
Junior Infants, Senior Infants and First Class enjoyed a fabulous day
out on Friday 30th May. We visited Leisureworld in Galway and then stopped
off in Coole Park for a picnic on the way home. The weather was very
kind to us with glorious sunshine all day. The children also showed
sunny sides out with exceptional behaviour from start to finish. They
must also be commended for taking care of their environment - not a
single scrap of paper was left behind in Coole Park - well done to all!
The Senior Tour (Viking Adventure, Clonmacnoise and Bog Tour) also proved
to be both enjoyable and educational. The pupils received many compliments
at the various locations for their excellent behaviour.
