INDOOR HURLING
3rd and 4th class boys had an enjoyable outing to Ennis National School
last week where they played in the first round of the indoor hurling
blitz. In the first game they defeated Gaelscoil Chiosog 7 goals to
4. The second game was a cliff-hanger and we lost to Ennis National
A by 1 goal, 10 to 9. We were victorious in the final game by 12 goals
to 6, against Ennis National B. During the day Conor O'Loughlin and
Ethan O'Donnell took turns at being goalie. Scores came from Paul McNamara,
Gerry Roseingrave , Rory Halpin, Jamie Fitzgibbon, Briain Dillon, Conor
Hayes, Ethan O'Donnell and Pauric O'Malley. The other members of the
squad were : Micheal Rosingrave, Declan Kearns, Anthony Rodgers, Shane
Loughrey, Dermot Moloney.
BUILDING FOR THE
FUTURE
As participants in
this year's Building for the Future programme we have an opportunity
of winning a Mitsubishi TV/DVD combi unit worth €379 for the school.
We are asking parents and friends to support us by collecting Irish
Independent and Sunday Independent tokens in our behalf. We need to
collect 30 tokens for each child in the school. We would really appreciate
your help.
ELECTRONIC BOOKS
Children are busy
preparing for this year's Write A Book Project. We are hoping to produce
electronic books using Software such as Story Maker and PowerPoint.

PARENT/TEACHER MEETINGS
The school will close
on this Friday at 12:30 for parent/teacher meetings. Please note that
parents/guardians are welcome to make an appointment to see teachers
at any suitable time during the school year.
