Christmas
Concert
We were delighted with all our pupils
who performed so well at our Christmas concert. Both the staff and pupils
worked very hard over the past few weeks. A special word of thanks to
Mrs. Peggy O’ Reilly, who selected, cast and produced the plays
in her role as Speech & Drama teacher in our school.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to the Parents’ Association
who collected at the door. A word of thanks also to Owen & Mary
O’Donnell who are always most accommodating with the use of the
hall.
Ho! Ho! Ho!
On
Monday, December 22nd, Santa Claus took time out from his busy schedule
to call to see the boys and girls in the playroom, Infant room and 1st
& 2nd classes. The children played tunes and sang Christmas carols
for our very special visitor. Santa later presented the children with
treats and wished everyone a very Happy Christmas!

a collection of safety gear and explained their importance on building

WOW Reading Challenge
We are now four weeks into our WOW reading challenge and already the
children have read an incredible number of books. This week we tallied
the total number of books read since November 24th and were amazed to
discover that the children had read 1,464 books. That is an average
of 15 books per child. Well done to all! We hope that Santa will bring
lots of books to the children and that they will continue with their
reading during the holidays.
Thank You!
The
staff, along with the pupils from 1st-6th class would like to extend
their thanks to Carina Roseingrave and Claire Commane who coached them
in hurling & camogie skills over the past 10 weeks. The pupils enjoyed
their visits and have greatly benefited from the sessions.
