OPERATION CHRISTMAS
CHILD APPEAL
Pupils and their parents are to
be congratulated on their very generous response to the Operation Christmas
Child Appeal for shoebox gifts recently. The gifts will help relieve
the suffering of children abroad who are homeless, live in orphanages
or are without family support. Thanks to Clarke`s MACE for their kind
donation of colouring pens. In all, 75 boxes were collected in the school.
Well done to all.
CEOLCHROIRM

You are cordially invited to the
school Christmas Concert which will be held in the Crusheen Community

vis-à-vis a new school.
PLAYGROUND
FUNDING
The Playschool Management, in conjunction
with the school Board of Management, applied in September for playground
funding under the Clár programme. The Clár programme is
administered by the Departmnet of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht affairs.

A recent Board of Management meeting decided to seek tenders for the
project and have the work completed as soon as possible.
RECYCLING
REMINDER
It is that time of year again.
Please collect all your used stamps and Christmas Cards. Remember to
leave about 2 cm of envelope all around the stamp. We also collect used
batteries for recycling. The children can bring them in at any time.
Thank you for helping the environment.
CHRISTMAS
CARDS
As we have some Christmas cards
left over from our fundraiser last year, we are giving them out to the
pupils in 3rd-6th classes, one packet per family. If you would like
to make a donation to the school fund, it would be greatly appreciated.
