invited to the school concert which will be held in Crusheen Community
Centre at 7.30 p.m. this Thursday. The concert will run for approximately
one hour and a half. Admission is €5. There will be a raffle at
the interval.
Our children have seen each other's plays at dress rehearsal. When not
on stage the
children will be supervised in the school. All pupils are requested
to be in their classrooms by 7 p.m. sharp. Children from Miss O'Keeffe's
and Miss Brady's classes are asked to come dressed in their costumes.
After the concert all children can be collected from their classrooms.
Musician In School
On Thursday November
18th we were delighted to welcome renowned traditional musician Gerry
O'Connor to the school. Gerry who hails from Co. Louth entertained us
all with a variety of jigs, reels, hornpipes and slow airs. Gerry also
makes fiddles and demonstrated the intricacies of the process. The school
purchased three fiddles, which will be put to good use by our budding
fiddlers. Gerry has just released his solo album called Journeyman which
is available in all good music shops

You are kindly requested
to notify the school office if your home, mobile or work phone number
has changed. It is important that the school has up to date contact
numbers for all children.
Playschool
Concert
The Playschool will
be holding their Christmas Concert on 17th December at the 11.45 a.m.
All parents and families are invited to attend this show.
Stamps
Please save all your
stamps from Christmas Cards etc. We can send them on to a worthy cause
for recycling.

Charity Shop
Mrs. Quinn's Charity
called to the school on Tuesday 23rd November and collected 14 bags
of unwanted clothing. A big thank you to all who supported this worthy
cause.
Energy Tip:
When buying battery-operated toys/appliances this Christmas check if
you can choose ones, which use recyclable batteries
